Museum and exhibition design in Tashkent

We design museum spaces and exhibitions: we work out the visual presentation, graphics, wayfinding and information surfaces. Visitors should understand the route, find the right exhibit and not tire of an overloaded presentation.

We build the project from the hall: we take into account the venue, visitor flow and visit scenario. We produce the equipment and graphics in our own workshop and install them by the opening date, so the exhibition looks cohesive, including in photos and video.

Display cases, podiums and information boards for the exhibition

Display cases protect fragile and valuable objects: tempered or laminated glass 6-10 mm, a frame of anodized aluminum or powder-coated steel, and joints bonded with UV adhesive so that the seam stays almost invisible. Podiums for a sculpture, model or heavy exhibit are built from MDF 18-25 mm or laminated chipboard with PVC edging and designed for loads from 150 kg/m².

We place graphics and texts on information boards with replaceable panels and UV printing. Surfaces are painted in a matte or semi-matte shade to RAL so that glare does not interfere with viewing, and fixings and cable channels are hidden inside the structure.

Museum lighting

Wrong lighting damages an exhibit. That is why we install LED fixtures with a color rendering index of CRI 90 and above and with ultraviolet and infrared cut-off. Illuminance is kept within 50 lux for graphics and textiles and 150-200 lux for paintings.

We build accents on track and recessed fixtures with a narrow 15-24° angle, and program scenarios for dimming and timers: morning, day, evening and separate modes for events and filming.

Interactive features and multimedia in the halls

Visitors stay longer where they can interact with the content. We build into the hall touch panels of 32-65 inches on vandal-resistant glass, projection onto a screen or wall and mapping onto models, reliefs and display cases. For mapping we use projectors from 5000 ANSI lumens so that the image stays legible under normal lighting.

A multimedia guide on a tablet or via QR leads along the route and shows 3D models and archive materials.

Frequently asked questions

How long does museum exhibition design take?

From 4 to 10 weeks, depending on area and content. A compact exhibition without complex interactive features takes from 4 weeks, a museum hall with multimedia and custom lighting 8-10 weeks. The timeline includes concept, design project, production and installation in Tashkent.

How are exhibits protected from humidity and theft?

Display cases are made with a perimeter seal and silica gel, which keeps humidity within the required range. Tempered or laminated glass, mortise locks and sensors protect against damage and unauthorized access.

What languages are touch panel interfaces available in?

Uzbek, Russian and English. This way the exhibition suits the mixed audience of museums and exhibitions, and the content is linked to wayfinding so that visitors do not lose their bearings in large spaces.
